Sweatshops in Bangladesh | War on Want

So the average worker in Bangladesh makes about £1 a day. Thats pretty brutal, given that they work 7.30am-3am. These factories provide garments for major co-operations. So the wage should be almost double just so the workers can have safety, food, shelter and pay for their childrens educational costs.

What we have decided to do is send food packages to remote villages in Bangladesh during lockdown, as you may know its already flooded there. We are also launching English literacy classes for Bengali workers to raise their chance of better future employment prospects.
