Salam, this week the topic is energy levels, what ways can we work towards developing better energy levels and positive vibes?

Working with the movements of the Sun

Sometimes it helps alternating days with the movements of the sun, sometimes waking up alittle before sunrise, performing a 15 minute cardio workout at sunrise, then consuming good quality food including wholegrain breads over a 20 minute break-fast can really help prepare slow down ones pace for the rest of the morning.

Some people are on the go, every hour they may schedule 3 main tasks to do, instead break it down or delegate.

look out for the first part of the morning and the second part, usually the sun will be higher in the sky during the last portion of the morning, ask yourself, what way could i unwind right now, do I need a break, will my energy levels be depleted by the early afternoon if I continue to work at this pace, incorporate meditation, deep breathing or stretching. Or alternatively make yourself a really healthy filling smoothie and drink plenty of water. Sometimes it also helps to take a break from people,

Noon

Nap for no longer than 15 minutes, wash your face hands and soak your feet in a warm bowl of water, add incence or scented oils.

make a list of to dos for the rest of ther afternoon, in that list of to dos, it would be helpful to think of how to unwind for the rest of the day to prepare for a good evenings sleep.

The sun should create small shadows around objects. The size of this shadow may be upto twice the length of the object, its advisable to get grocery stores to do deliveries or break down errands of travelling, as this is the time when its warmest outside, increase fans, increase air circulation and open windows.

now may be the time to have a really good lunch filled foods with a low glycemic index — whose sugars are absorbed slowly — may help you avoid the lag in energy that typically occurs after eating quickly absorbed sugars or refined starches. Foods with a low glycemic index include whole grains, high-fiber vegetables, nuts, and healthy oils such as olive oil. In general, high-carbohydrate foods have the highest glycemic indexes. Proteins and fats have glycemic indexes that are close to zero. Instead of coffee, opt for tea.

As the shadows around objects become more than twice the size of the object, opt for a walk, forest bathing is a Japanese relaxation exercise, as you walk through the forest, notice the wildlife, the bark, the birds, the sounds of the forest and do a slow 1-2 mile walk if time permits. Now would also be a good time for some retail therapy, as you get home and the sun is about to set, take some time to spend with your loved ones or call friends.

As the day ends and dusk sets in, its time to follow through with your “me time” plan written earlier in the day with the to do list, and reward yourself for any accomplishments you feel you made that day.

Sometimes victory lies in the small things.

Night time practice some meditation, stretching, reading before resting.
